Introduction
Microsoft has introduced a new monthly security summary report for Defender for Endpoint users. This report gives an overview of your organization’s security status, showing preventative actions from the past month. It helps you:
- See where you’re doing well and where you can improve
- Monitor changes over time
- Focus on high-priority issues
The report is divided into the following sections:
- Microsoft Secure Score
- Benchmarking Against Similar Organizations
- Device Onboarding
- Protection Against Threats
- Web Content Monitoring and Filtering
- Tracking Suspicious or Malicious Activities
Each of these sections provides valuable insights and data to help you understand your organization’s security status and the effectiveness of your current security measures.
Accessing the report is straightforward. Here are the steps:
- Visit https://security.microsoft.com/
- Click on ‘Reports‘
- Select ‘Monthly security summary’
From here, you can either generate a PDF of the summary or re-configure the default card layout to suit your preferences.
